There is a certain gravel road in west central Utah that I love to travel on. It is named after its original purpose – Pony Express Road. For this photograph of the sunrise at Simpson Mountain I am standing on the Pony Express Trail. I marvel at the courage of those riders who traversed this very path in the winter of 1860-61.
