I think of heaven when I recall this photograph. The trail traverses high up on one side of the ravine, allowing the hiker to gaze through openings in the tree line to see the opposite side the ravine – and beyond. The late afternoon sun highlights the fringes of the fir trees, giving the scene a celestial glow.
